About Olivier Jornot

Olivier Jornot has served as the General Prosecutor of Geneva since April 2012, bringing a wealth of expertise and leadership to one of Switzerland’s most prominent legal positions. In addition to his role as General Prosecutor, Mr Jornot is also the Chair of the Management Commission of the Judiciary of Geneva, where he plays a central role in shaping the strategic and operational framework of the judicial system.

As Chair of the Management Commission, Mr Jornot is responsible for overseeing the judicial budget, ensuring that financial and administrative resources are used effectively. He also coordinates the staffing and qualifications of judicial personnel, including judges, prosecutors, clerks, and administrative staff, ensuring a highly skilled and efficient workforce. His leadership ensures that the judiciary operates smoothly, with clear policies, staffing strategies, and financial oversight in place.
